What's a Gutsy Leader?

Fair question: is that a real title? Honest answer — it's the top rung of a ladder I built, and I'm its first occupant. No existing title covered the work, so the work named itself.

Here's the ladder in one breath. A scout learns to find opportunity. A setter learns to open a conversation. A closer learns to bring it to a decision that's honest for everyone at the table. An investor learns to run the whole business. And a leader — a Gutsy Leader — learns to multiply it: to build the people who build the business. I mentor at every rung, and I still do the work myself, because teaching from the field is the only kind of teaching I trust.
