THE TITLE
What's an AI Revenue Operations Strategist?
Fair question, because the title sounds bigger than the job. Revenue operations is the plumbing between your marketing and your money: the outreach that brings a lead in, the follow-up that keeps it alive, and the close. In a small real-estate team that plumbing is usually a pile of tools and somebody's memory. I replace the memory.
The AI part
I build the systems with agents that do the work, not chatbots that describe it. They live in the tools you already use — your CRM, your email, your calendar — and they handle the outreach, the lead capture, the follow-up, the inbox. I ran this on myself first. My own companies run on a team of agents I built, with an audit log on every message they send and a weekly self-test that publishes its own failures. The record is on the arena page.
The strategist part
Strategist, not engineer, because the hard half isn't the build. It's Monday morning, when somebody has to change what they do. Most rollouts die right there. I've spent sixteen years selling — homeowners on an offer, investors on picking up the phone, a sales team of thirty on a CRM they didn't ask for — and it's the same work in every room. Getting people to actually use the thing is the half I'm known for.
What I don't claim
Enterprise revenue operations — forecasting, quota, territory, comp plans. My lane is small real-estate teams and agencies, where the whole system fits in one head and the owner is usually also the sales team.
The three levels of AI, plainly
AI is a conversation. You ask a chatbot something, it answers, and the doing is still all you.
AI² is when the conversation grows hands. It has skills, tools, and connections — and it uses the same tools and systems you use. It doesn't live in another dashboard; it logs into your CRM, your email, your calendar, and works there, like a teammate.
AI³ is you — intentional autonomy, automated. Your agents run on rails you chose. So do you. That's the level I work at, and the level I coach people toward.
The formal version
On a conference bio I put it this way: Designing the Infrastructure of Self-Direction. The plain version is the sentence at the top of this site — and the plain version is the true one.
